On Thursday, February 28, 2008, the San Diego Horticultural Society will hold its
annual Preview Garden Party, which honors Chuck Ades as
our Horticulturist of the Year.
The party is the kickoff event for the 23rd
Annual Spring Home/Garden Show, which features 21 indoor display gardens by some
of the finest garden designers in San Diego. A passionate horticulturist with
many years of valuable service to the local community, Ades is a co-founder of

The evening starts at 7:00 p.m. at Bing Crosby Hall at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.
Get ready for a fabulous evening! We’ve added an Opportunity Drawing, and first
prize is a delightful day of sailing on the San Diego Bay. In honor of Chuck Ades, other prizes will include extraordinary begonias from his own collection. Gardening fineries will also be among the cache of winnings. This is the perfect time to have yummy hors d’oeuvres and fruits dipped in a scrumptious Chocolate Fountain while strolling around the beautiful setting and enjoying live music and visiting with your friends.
