*San Diego Floral Association Make and Take classes for 2019-2020*
San Diego Floral will be holding monthly classes offering a variety of fun
and educational hands-on projects that students will make and take home.
Limit of 20 students per class.
Date: 2nd Thursday of the month (September – May)
Time: 10:00 a.m. – Noon
Place: Room 104, Casa del Prado, Balboa Park
Cost: SD Floral members $25/class, non-members $30/class
Save $5/class if you enroll in the series of 9
classes.

place, then submit payment. Payments can be mailed to SD Floral Assoc.,

*September 12, 2019* Artistic mosaic hanging containers for small
plants. Instructor is Jackie Riekstins, a former art teacher.
*October 10, 2019* “Altars and customs of Dia de Los Muertos.â€
Make a sugar skulls wreath and Mexican tissue paper flowers. Bring
scissors. Instructor is Kathy Taylor de Murillo, an award winning floral
designer and teacher.
*November 14, 2019* Autumn/Thanksgiving fresh flower cornucopia and
door wreath. Bring scissors or clippers. Instructor is Kathy Taylor de
Murillo.
*December 12, 2019* Holiday fresh flower centerpiece. Learn basic
floral design concepts and skills. Bring scissors or clippers. Instructor
is George Speer, a Flower Show Judge and design teacher.
*January 9, 2020* Decorative hanging wooden Tilansia (Air
plant) container. Learn all about these interesting plants from Instructor
Sharon Tooley, a talented floral designer and horticulturist. Bring
scissors and clippers.
*February 13, 2020* Whimsical wire and bead dragon flies, one
large and one small. Instructor is Dale Rekus, an award winning floral
designer and teacher. Finger dexterity required for this one.
*March 12, 2020* Fairy Garden. Instructor to be determined.
*April 9, 2020* Kokedama. Create a stunning Japanese
moss ball bonsai planting. Instructor to be determined.
*May 14, 2020* Whimsical Tea Cup garden bird feeder.
